No, it's another season almost in the books, and it's been another year of people like yourself whining about people who don't hold up signs proclaiming their love for their (apparently) irreproachable football team.

You see, most fans have an ability to observe their team objectively. And they will make comments based on reality, and not the emotional desire to call a 32 point win over a team whom you were favored to beat by 42, a "blowout".

Then there are people like yourself, who take the opposite approach to all of these things, and anyone who does not agree with you is obviously just miserable, selfish and no fun at parties. And you take examples of people, whose emotions seem to rise and fall with the sun, and paint them as the face of the entire fan base, all while failing to recognize that you are reading posts from people who are mainly just kids, on a message board.

Take your sanctimony somewhere else.

The thing is, I've been as positive as this season has warranted. I came into the season with relatively low expectations, but I picked LSU to beat Miami, because I believed Miami was overrated. They were. I thought Auburn would be better than they are, and didn't think LSU would win there, but they did. I was happy about that. I began to feel hopeful about this season. Then the Florida game happened. Ah, but then, the Georgia game followed that up, and I was talking this team up, while trying to maintain a level head, knowing our tendencies to go into a shell against Alabama.

And when that game came along, the staff indeed went into that shell. And I have expressed my displeasure with the inability to adjust and develop an offense that can compete for something meaningful.

In short, I've enjoyed what was enjoyable. Not everything about LSU football is enjoyable to me. But I don't need this game to provide my happiness. Some people seem to rely on football so much, that they will tell themselves whatever they have to, to make everything ok. That's fine. Just don't apply your rules to me.

Talk about sanctimony, your post defines it.
Please continue happily mired in your misery.

If you were objective, you’d realize that the only reason we didn’t easily eclipse the spread was the emptying of the bench to develop the younger talent. It was far more important to see what Brennan, Fournette, Shelvin, and others could do (and keep them motivated) than it would be to leave them on the sidelines just so Burrow and company could continue running up and down the field.
