Question for older folks. I’m a college kid and I see older people even my parents say that they’re not afraid of death anymore. As you get older, do you really not become scared of death? My grandfather always acts like he wants to die. As a college kid I don’t like thinking about dying but I guess it’s because I really haven’t lived yet.

I can answer this. I view it this way. I've lived a much better life than my parents, I've traveled more, owned nicer things, and can't complain about how blessed I have been. I have worked hard my entire adult life, but in my mid 50's, I have many great memories to say "It's been good".
I think that makes it more easy to say I could die and not have any regrets other than leaving my family.
I'm also a Christian, which also makes it way easier to say "when I die I die", and I'm good with it.

I was always terrified of death but yeah..as you get older you become more accustomed to the idea. Most of the things you want to experience, you have and it becomes easier to let go.
I still don't like the idea, but when the time comes I'll be more comfortable with it.

I’m not afraid of death itself at all. I’m only apprehensive about the way that I’m going to die.
