re: Cranberry Sauce?

Homemade. Every year, I offer to bring something else and every year the rest of the family just wants me to bring the cranberry sauce because they love it so much.

It's just some random recipe I found on the internet that is basically boiling a couple of bags of cranberries in some OJ with a cinnamon stick. It literally takes me 30 seconds to prepare (i.e. throw into pot) and about a half hour of simmering on Thanksgiving morning while I have some coffee.

I do not disabuse them of the notion that it's some great mystery or difficult task. I've even begun bringing it in disposable Ziploc containers instead of a nice bowl so that's one less thing to worry about and clean. My aim at this point is to maximize my lazy on Thanksgiving.
