Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome

Who's had experience with this from lifting? Any squat or lunge variation aggravates for me, as does any cycling.
How long did you have to treat it and rest it before resuming normal lifting? Thanks.

I was getting this in my heavy squat sets. I started wearing neoprene knee sleeves (Rehband) and warming up for 3-4 minutes on the air bike before beginning a leg workout and it seems to help a lot. I can't say I never feel it but I can usually push through it.

Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome
What does it feel like? I've been getting a really sharp pain in what feels like my kneecap whenever I put pressure on my right leg. Walking down stairs, running, etc. all hurt like a sumbitch. A little google searching keeps bringing this up, not sure if that's what it is or something worse.
