it really should become mandatory within a certain range where CWD has been identified. No way to remotely know what is going on without that. If it is not mandatory, it will get out of control until it is too late.

I was cleaning a deer last night and thinking about this. I killed him in a county where CWD testing isn’t mandatory, but just thinking that you might contaminate your meat when you sever the spine, or having it processed where a CWD deer comes in bothers me.
