No answer for your power problem but I thought I'd weigh in and say that radio controlled (atomic) clocks are awesome. Every clock I own is radio controlled and never have to be set, even after power outages. And they set themselves back and forward during DST changes. And they are always accurate to the second with U.S. atomic time.

Do they make atomic syncing ovens and microwaves? Those are the most annoying, because they flash after the power goes out.
Entergy said they haven't received any other complaints, but to call when it happens again. I ordered the Eaton 900w UPS, and it is hopefully going to be here today
