I currently have Fitzpatrick starting at QB and Dalton riding the pine. My opponent is starting Mike Evans and Desean Jackson. Will this hurt/help me in any way or as the title says, am I overthinking it? PPR Scoring
Example 20 yd TD to Evans:
Fitzpatrick 7pts
Evans 9pts

Over thinking it. Start who you think will get the most points that's all that matters

What happens if Fitz doesn't throw any TDs and four other players on his team blow up and you lose by 5? You should always play your best lineup. The only time you worry about your opponent is if you are deciding between two players and you figure out if you need a floor or ceiling play.

Thanks.
I've always believed that, but with my opponent starting 2 of my QB's wide receivers I needed some reassurance.

Overthinking it. Just try to start the player you think will get the most points. Everything is too unpredictable to try to plan much deeper than that.

Hold up, Fitz is the better play this week anyway. With Green out, I can say this with confidence.
Plus, you are hedging your bet against your opponent since he has Evans and DJax. This isn't overthinking it, imo.
If you're favored to win the logical choice is Fitz. If you need a Hail Mary, the choice is Daulton. But in the end, go with your gut.

You not playing Fitz isn’t going to will his team into scoring less points.
If Evans and Jackson go off then Fitz goes off and vice versa. If Fitz is your best qb, play him.

If you think Fitz will score more points then play Fitz. If you start Dalton and he gets you 17 points and Fitz goes off you would rather have Fitz points regardless of who he throws to.
