I'm guessing that would be Travis County? If so, I don't know what you expected being in the center of Austin. I voted for Beto and Abbott myself. I like what Abbott has done but couldn't stomach voting for Cruz.

I'm personally scratching my head over the fact they overwhelmingly voted for the affordable housing proposition. I thought people would be logical enough to realize that the price of housing/rent here is already through the roof and that increasing the price of everyone's property taxes by passing every bond is not going to change that. Landlords will take even more advantage of property tax increases to charge renters more than the an average homeowner would see. Let's not even mention the less than stellar success rate of affordable housing across the country.

They should be focusing on zoning and height regulations instead. Unfortunately, there are too many HOA presidents that have stumbled into political careers who aren't capable of fixing these problems. The recent soccer stadium issue is another example. They choose to protect fields that people use for 2 or 3 months a year at all costs to prevent the building of a major sporting/event stadium in the middle of downtown.
