So,
Let’s say that my comment about the VCHS coach’s actions being sketchy is base on hearsay at best. Why would the LHSAA issue any penalty at all?
(Please note that I said that the Parents do seem very sketchy in there actions).
But this......
Doesn’t make since to me.
If they were shopping their kid as you say back in 2015 why go through all that trouble for Vandebilt. If you’re trying to ensure your kid plays for a good team they could have done as they tried to do here and move him to a nearby parish with better records of success.
If the father needed a job and the school needed a coach and VCHS only hired him for the kid would that not be recruiting?
I’m not trying to ruffle your feathers here but it appears to me that neither party is guiltless.

2015 The Robison family looks for employment and in hind sight a place for their son to be the football star. The father is touted as an exceptional coach and teacher, to which he ended up being neither, perhaps VCHS didn’t check enough past history. Perhaps too VCHS did not realize at this time they had been scouted and shopped for the student athlete, hind sight again is 20/20. The student athlete receives the name “Golden Arm” and excels in every aspect, athletically, socially and I would assume scholastically at VCHS.
Doesn’t make since to me.

Your points are valid...
VCHS is a good school, not a football powerhouse but we did just produce a player in the NFL.
They were coming from a VERY small Christian school in Tennessee, perhaps VCHS met their needs (& a job) and looked large... just speculating.
To clarify, I said the family shopped for schools. I did not say VCHS shopped for the kid. There is a big difference and watching how the father was excessively scouting (before all of this drama) the kid all over the country (Facebook shows it all) it is beyond obvious he will do anything to get the kid exposure and a leg up. I get it, we parents want the best for our kids, but it is a bit overboard! That is why I "speculate" that the father found VCHS for a good fit for the kid, I don't think VCHS even knew that was happening.
