This is my view on abortion. I don't really support it, but people have the right to make whatever decision they think is best for them and it isn't my place to judge them. And since it will still go on, no matter what, there might as well be away for them to have it done safely.
But to your point, for many people abortion is a sin so it is a religious issue. Same thing with gambling, a lot of people who oppose any type of gambling do so because they view it as a sin.
And for many, an issue like abortion is the singular factor that goes into why they vote for someone.

And here in Alabama, all the people that continue to vote down the lottery every time it comes up drive to GA, FL, TN or go to the casinos in MS every weekend to play. fricking hypocrites.
