Either discipline is fairly future proof, until AI takes all of our jobs. However, I don’t think there are many people who would find enjoyment in both. There are similarities, but I believe they require different mindsets overall. Which one drives you? That’s the one to go with.

I'm more technically oriented. IT would honestly be a better fit. Many companies could use an IT guy.
The issue is that alot of corporations have basically pushed IT to third parties (ie India, H1B visas). I don't think that will shift in a major way, despite the new POTUS pushing pro American policies.
An accountant cant be as easily replaced. The issue lies in the CPA. Without it, the better jobs will be harder to land.
