We can not lose our best in state talent in our greatest need (OL and DT) to Alabama.

don’t want a kid that takes plays off and is lazy. Need a kid who wants it.

It’s not going to happen. Dad, the barber, and Petito are boys. Focus on other reachable targets.

I hate the "in-state" and "fences" thing. Especially for the trenches, both of them.

What if... you put the resources you put into in-state linemen elsewhere. Maybe the dynamic changes. Maybe you get equal (or better) talent instead of having virtually all eggs-in-basket, up until the end, scenarios and end up with "Plan C's".

Don't assume EITHER:
- in-state is more valuable
- in-state is more likely

It is being used against us.

There’s nothing more we can do the kid has so many ties to Alabama and is so pro Alabama. Best thing we can do is put a fine pieces of LSU Vodoo pussy on him and hope he falls in love and he wants to stay with her

He gone.

If he was going to LSU, the easiest, most fun thing he could do right now is to commit to LSU.

He isn't committed and it is for a good reason (hint: rhymes with "Bama"). Dylan Moses can explain it to you if you need.

The staff doesn't even almost agree with this statement.

We would all like to get Sopsher. Right now he wants us to hold 2 scholarships for him and his brother all the way until the last possible second where he will then decide between LSU and Bama. That is just an unacceptable recruiting strategy on our part in my opinion. 2 scholarships should only be on the table if he signs early.

I'm the most optimistic person here in regards to recruiting. But...

Sopsher is like Surtain, but leaning even further to bama. The only way to change the tide would be to go through Sanders the bag man

I think coaches understand the veracity of the recruits words and their true desire to attend a given school. Actions speak louder than words. There is nothing that serves to indicate that the player will ultimately commit to any school other than Bama.

This one will only upset me come signing day if we have not worked other options as a contingency plan. I won’t be upset for the fact that he chose Bama, but for how obvious it is now (and has been for sometime) that he is going to Bama, not LSU and the staff didn’t adjust.

If LSU hold spots for the player and his brother against a background of the players recent actions, then shame on our staff for not developing a better plan and set of alternatives.

He is gone plain and simple he just hasn't announced it yet. The Bama boogieman already visited it is over, move on. Don't get me wrong this sucks big time, but it is what it is we aren't going to be able to change THEIR minds because of the drop-off.

Well, LSU going to have to open their checkbooks wider than Bama and that's not going to happen. Sopher family isn't particularly rich and the claws are already deep from Bama. He's not coming here get over it and move on to someone else.
