What other guns do you have?
For 100 yards there's absolutely no reason to get fancy.
I would just get a short action with one of the popular calibers.
99% of people are better off getting one really nice deer gun in the normal calibers with a really nice scope and use it every hunt, then buying 8 different guns for every possible situation.

.270, AR15, and a 45-70 for rifles. I know I'm covered for what I want, I just want a new gun. The reason I wanted a shorter gun is because the guy that is showing me around does a lot of stalk hunts and they shot 3 bucks last weekend all within 50 yards while walking. I'd just like one with a smaller body than my 270.
