Great story and life lesson Wayne. Yeah I was too "patient" on one thing...and that was getting my Dad his 1911 to match mine but with EGA (Eagle Globe and Anchor) handgrips....I was gonna get it for him for Christmas of '09 when I finally decided what route I wanted to go....Dad got called home by the Lord in February of '09. There was always 2 things I wanted to get Dad...that pistol...and a restored 1968 Ford F-100 with a 360 and 3 on the tree like his original "Old Yeller" Ford he had (his first truck he had before he went to Vietnam). Moral of the story...never wait to tell/share with your dad. That's one thing you should never procrastinate on.

Good thing about it is no matter how much you screw up they still love you just like no matter how bad they screw up you still love them. Especially at that age. It takes adults to screw up loving relationships.
