But also, what's the appeal of a over the water bungalow? I've never been so I know I know...but to me I'd rather pay to have a really nice private beach front house. Im sure those are not very "busy" but there's a heck of a lot more bungalows in one small area than if you rented a really nice beach house for the same price range?

I guess I'm saying what's the point of being "over the water" that's worth so much more?

I think most have reefs so you can jump out of the bed and snorkel.

But I wouldn't call staying in one a cultural experience.

It's a compromise. My wife loves the beach. I loathe the beach. This way she could still have an ocean front view and I could avoid the sand.
