You save a bit if you go to Moorea instead of Bora Bora. You fly in to Papeete and it’s a 10 minute hop. It’s pristine. Phenomenal.
Might save you a couple of thousand on 10 nights.

Absolutely this. Bora Bora is beautiful, don't get me wrong, but Moorea is a far prettier and more exotic island. It is also relatively untouched compared to Bora Bora.
I did a several week trip to French Polynesia several years ago. We spent a week anchored in a cove in Moorea and the island is just incredible.
