Since January 2012, there has been this really bad lingering taste in everyone's mouth IRT BAMA.
At that time the talent was relatively equal, but our game planning was atrocious. A few losses later to Bama and they started to roll and we were left for dead. Our once strong fence around our state developed large cracks and they were able to cherry pick Louisiana of top talent that has partially led to a now, pretty large deficit in talent between the two of us. But the place that it matters the most, the trenches, has gotten a lot closer recently.
This is probably one of our best shots to get a win and turn off the pilfering of our in state talent, but somehow Bama pulls a once in a generation QB out of thin air at the same time. Bad timing for us, but we must go on.
I don't think Bama has played a D like ours, but we haven't seen a QB like Tua either.
I think this game will be close, very close and I think is all starts with us coming out of the gates like we have on many occasions this year with a D interception on the first or second drive. If we can KEEP the crowd engaged and get them playing from behind, which I don't think they have had to do this entire year, we will be successful.
