Going to see the Tigers play in Arkansas next week. Houston to Texarkana then on to Fayetteville. Staying in Bentonville
Friday thru Sunday. Any must see places or food rec's for that area?

Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art - seriously impressive and a must-do when in the area.

I'm not in Bentonville much, so maybe a NWA person will chime in on food recs. The Hive is pretty much regarded as one of the best restaurants in the area.

Just copying and pasting from other posts I've made:

No clue if any of you who are visiting are into cycling or mountain biking, but we're a major destination for that now. We have trails that span the gamut and many that are accessible from downtown areas. If that's something that interests you, let me know, and I'll give more information into rentals, locations, possible guide services, etc..

Other sight seeing:
Crystal Bridges in Bentonville. Seriously, it's awesome. There will be a great Native American artist exhibit there that's debuting this week (I'm going to the opening tomorrow night). Even if you're not into art, just the grounds and architecture are worth checking out.

Eureka Springs: funky town that's worth checking out about 90 minutes from Fayetteville. They also have downhill mountain biking there (have I mentioned I like mountain biking?).

You've had good recommendations on hiking, I'll throw out some more accessible dayhike areas (that are also good for.. mountain biking.. hah):

Mt. Kessler in Fayetteville
Fitzgerald Mountain in Springdale
Blowing Springs park in Bella Vista
Tanyard Creek in Bella Vista

Eating/Dining:
Dickson street is your prime destination of you're around college age or slightly older. Hugo's is a class Fayetteville joint. Maxine's is the go to hangout for a lot of the town, now. I don't know. I live there and usually do most of my night life and dining in Bentonville.

Bentonville now has some awesome restaurants and entertainment options now as well:

8th Street Market there features:
The Holler is the new hot spot. Coworking hub with bar, food and coffee service with shuffleboard court in the middle. People work, network and hang out there all day then it transforms into a party atmosphere around happy hour and goes into the evening.

Bike Rack Brewing: great brewery. Good atmosphere. Food trucks.

Yeyo's Tacos: authentic Mexican food (not Tex Mex). Really excellent and authentic.

Also in Bentonville:
Pedaler's Pub (bike themed pizza joint)
Press Room (really excellent food and beverages)
Preacher's Son (gluten free food that's probably the best restaurant in the region. Seriously good).

Tusk and Trotter off the downtown square in Bentonville is a casual place with some creative food.

Pig Ear Nachos, Catfish Pastrami Reuben, squab, lamb burger, etc.

Made that trip last time. It was a blast. Make sure you grab a burger from Hugos before the game.
