Any advice on where to find a slaughtered 20-30 pound pig to cook in my Cajun Microwave for Thanksgiving?

If you think Co Chon Delait is a yankee term, you must be a city slicker baw!

Same if you don’t know that cochon (one word) means pig and that de lait is not one word.

Well why not go back and buy one in Mansura? It’s 70 minutes from you and doesn’t the Durands have a store that sells them?

Rouchers Meat Market in Plaquemine will slaughter any size you want.

Then by all means you should know how to spell it and get your pork at either Colognes or Durrands right there off the main drag in Mansura.

Durand's has more than he will ever need and right down the road just across the RR tracks is Colognes (sp?) that has a cooler full of half and whole hogs for sale.

You’d think a baw from the capital would know how to spell it. It’s Cochon de Lait, meaning suckling pig.

Yep, that's the one. Wasn't sure of the spelling and sure enough I botched it, but I know how to get there if I need a hog for cooking.
