I don't think there is proof that dark matter exists either. It's kind of like a variable they throw in their formulas. If I recall properly, they even mentioned this was the case on some show about the universe on science channel. Doesn't stop them from putting their faith in dark matter/energy.

It's all a matter of faith. We, as Christians, have faith God does exist. We often use unexplainable instances that occurred to us personal to explain it. Doubters will then try to explain it as something other than God. Let them. Your faith shouldn't be shaken because of the doubt of non-believers.

Just like they did with the Higgs Boson. How did that turn out?

But for sure, he knows now whether or not God exists. No one living does.

There is plenty of proof that dark matter exists. It exerts gravity just as known matter does. There is observational evidence (by Vera Rubin, the late great astronomer) that galaxies are held together by the gravity of dark matter. The lensing effect of distant galaxies in space is further proof of dark matter located between us and those galaxies. Also, the "dark flow" of some known matter, including our galaxy, towards a spot in the Universe can only be explained by considering the gravity of dark matter.

It isn't faith at all. It's observation, the hallmark of science.
