When did Middle America lose its Voice? *Long AF*

The Large Liberal/Progressive Markets with MSM hubs in select cities on the East and West coast have had the privilege of being able to speak for the rest of the country with little to no resistance. They all run in their posh progressive little circles and only hear the same like minded people voice opinions to which the rest of the country gets lumped into.
They believe that if they (local populous) want something to be a certain way, Middle America wants it that way as well because they see what everyone around them wants and if everyone around them wants it, it must mean everyone in the country wants it.
The “Void” (between the East and West coast) at some point in time, decided that they would just settle for the hands they were dealt and just go with the flow. They started electing politicians based off of TV and Radio ads instead of electing politicians who held the same beliefs and values as they do. Then the Lobbyists moved in and started buying votes. In comes a newly elected official and misrepresentes its citizens because the platform they ran on was complete bullshite and they have been put in place to change the rule of law and the optics of social acceptance.
The following election year comes around and low and behold, the same crooks get voted into office because either a commercial told them so, it’s a name that looks familiar or because they just push a button on Election Day instead of properly educating themselves on current events and the effects/repercussions of not knowing what you are voting on.
Now that “The Great Awakening” is taking place, we all look around and wonder what the hell happened and how did we get here.
We are questioning things that wouldn’t have even caught our eye, much less raised alarm.
If the events that are taking place before our very eyes are not enough to make people take a step back and realize how important our Republic is and the danger it is in, then we are doomed as a free nation. We have been given a second chance to take corrective action and if we all take our civic duty for granted we will become irrelevant to the rest of the world and enslaved to globalist scum

To be fair, small town Americana is caught in its own bubble. But let's look into the makeup of mass media. The truth is that mostly liberal minded people are attracted into fields like journalism and broadcasting. The end result is the majority of media outlets lean Left. Rush is very popular, but the reason for that is due to a lack of conservative interests in social/mass media.

I'm going to play devil's advocate here. You are correct in that Middle America has it's own unique voice and concerns. However, conservatives have given alot of ground as well. Issues like restriction on MJ, gay marriage, single motherhood etc. that were once hot button issues they fought against are no longer seen as important by the GOP.

Both sides are guilty of this. This has several reasons
1) people too lazy to look into local politics.
2) lobbyist $ persuades them to make policies suited for companies and not the people.
Corporatism and Consumerism are not Capitalism. They are byproducts of it that when left unchecked, create the conditions we have today.

Media outlets don't lean Left; they are off the scale. Most up-to-date polling I've seen shows over 90% of sports journalists as Democrats, with similar numbers among investigative reporters and feature writers. The only thing approaching balance is among editors, where it's closer to 65-35. If the polling from the 70s and 80s is accurate, 25-35% of media members could be full blown Communists.
As to why such people are attracted to the profession (or education/academia), I really can't say. I don't think conservatives telling their kids "STEM or trade school" is helping.

It's long, but I don't think it reaches AF status.

Media started tilting to the left in the mid 50's.

The long arm of the Progressive Propaganda machine tempted fate one too many times and finally got its hand caught in the cookie jar. The jig is up!
Trump & Co. exposed them for the frauds they are. Some will still live in denial, other will watch every move they made under a microscope. All that matters is they now have to find a new way to work over their constituents because they will pay hell trying to recover from what’s about to come down the line!
Trump will be reguarded throughout history as the man who saved the Republic from Tyranny. Not saying he won’t led us back there, one way or the other. Love him or hate him, He has changed the game! Regardless of whose pocket he is in.... Merica Woke!!!!
This was a really good read and IMO, it describes the last 30 years of what I see of our Countries State of affairs. Basically a detailed description of Tyranny and Tyrannical Rule.

The key is always to detect tendencies toward tyranny and suppress them before they go too far or become too firmly established. The people must never acquiesce in any violation of the Constitution. Failure to take corrective action early will only mean that more severe measures will have to be taken later, perhaps with the loss of life and the disruption of the society in ways from which recovery may take centuries.

This isn’t about elections.... It’s about forced upon ideology and whatever else people in Downtown Manhattan believe they have in common with people in the plains of Benkelman, NE. They believe and broadcast that things/beliefs where they live are the same things/beliefs everywhere else and if they are not they will be because they are gonna force them on you and make it look like they are the same regardless of what you believe. You will conform one way or the other.
Before, we were convicted that “ Damn! The whole country see’s green even though I see blue. Maybe what I see is green, not blue. It must be, everyone else says it is, I have no reason not to trust what everyone else is seeing. It’s not like they can fool everybody all the time”.
Fake News, False Flages, and Tyrant Scum surround us. Question everything!

How so?
In most of posts, I try to point out some of the fallacies in both progressive and traditional conservative thoughts.
It only appears that I'm more critical of conservatives because that is what most posters are.
I am adamant on some liberal causes. The strongest being that the ONLY way to defeat far left ideology is a strong economy.

Okay, I have a weird hobby. I like to find and collect old radio broadcasts. I’m not talking just old radio shows, but news, speeches, sports, etc. I have thousands of hours worth of this stuff.
Anyway, I’ve listened to a ton of FDR’s speeches. I’m not saying this is where it started, but it is definitely one of the places it started. During the Great Depression, Roosevelt really pushed the line that regular people were incapable of recovering from the Depression and taking care of themselves without government assistance. FDR was truly a socialist hack who used the Great Depression to push his agenda. His first inaugural speech is scary as frick. Don’t just read it but listen to it. He is basically saying if Congress can’t or won’t fix the problem he would use “broad executive power” to do so. Listen to his speech about packing the Supreme Court in 1940. He is saying the old coots needed to go because they are set in their ways, and they should go now so he could appoint new justices. You won’t read about FDR like this in recent history books. You have to listen to the man himself. Not just read the speeches but here them for his tone.
In so many of his speeches you’ll hear the same lines over and over. “If blank doesn’t happen, then it’s the government’s responsibility to make it happen,” or “now is the time that blank becomes the responsibility of the government.” He wanted the federal government to control everything.

What a perfect time to implement such a grand scheme. People were scared of almost everything. People died from stubbing a toe in those days, Anything drastic could cause you to end up in poverty. So when Uncle Sam & Co. come along and tell you how much worse things could be unless you had someone to protect you. Who better to give you such protection than the United States Government. It would be unethical for a Democratic government such as ours take advantage of its own citizens. Especially during the worst financial crisis of the era. How could they possibly take from us (thinking material things) what we don’t have. Not realizing the freedoms & liberties forfeited once the ink dried. That freedom was taken for granted. They didn’t realize as neither we, after being freed from schackles, they were stepping right into bondage!

As stated, those were very different times. But I think your overlooking one crucial fact. What caused the Great Depression to happen. I've been reading into this topic myself. Many of the policies created the roaring 1920s led to the crash of the 1930.
Those policies are very similar to what Republicans today want. I'm not resting this as solely a GOP problem, but the private sector of that time period was largely to blame for the Great Depression.
I don't understand why there is so much hatred for social programs when those are the very things that helped create the middle class prosperity we saw in the 1950s to 1960s.
War got us out of the Depression, but that inevitably led to the MIC we have today. It is a lack of restraint on private endeavors and the MIC that has led to overspending.

Well of course a “void” is being filled. That’s what happens in any political movement - you appeal to a subset of the population in a new way. The parties have pivoted many times before and will continue to do so. It’s just that you always have to employ skepticism because it’s simply too easy to take advantage of people in this world.
