re: How come Shaun Alexander doesn’t get mentioned with great 2000’s era RB’s?

Heck, he almost scored a TD to win a super bowl.
Um, what?
When did he do this?

Sorry, that was Dyson. My bad

Larry Johnson TYFYS.
Now that I think about it, the Chiefs have had a string of stud fantasy backs over the last 16 years or so between Priest, LJ, Charles, and now Kareem.
And Jamal Lewis is one of the GOAT 2000s backs. Believe Travis Henry named one of his kids after him.
Anyone else remember TJ Duckett and Michael the Burner Turner? I know Tiki Barber had to be mad as hell retiring the year before the Giants won that first Super Bowl over the Patriots. Someone mentioned Eddie George but completely forget his successor Chris Brown. Panthers had a decently two back punch with Stephen Davis and DeShaun Foster, nowhere near as good as Deangelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart were.
Speaking of Jonathan, how about my man James Stewart, shared a backfield with Fred Taylor. And did everyone forget about Ricky Williams and his successor Ronnie Brown? Or the last great Packers and Huskers back Ahman Green? And no one has said Deuce with all these Saints fans here? Thomas Jones had a couple of good seasons too. And who can forget Michael Pittman and his Hulk Hogan arms?

All good. Eddie George scored both Tennessee TDs in that Super Bowl.

Is that because he liked Jamal Lewis or because he was running out of names?

You just going to name every runningback with a carry in that era?
Bc you forgot Roney Brown, lawrence marooney, and Marion Barber

He put about 250 against LSU. That game made me pretty sick.

Shaun Alexander also made Mike DuBose somewhat competent in 1999
