It's very low relative carb compared to other macros esp fat. And unless you're gorging yourself uncomfortably and constantly then that means it's also absolute low carb compared to population.

Yes...but most people think they eat low carbs under a set amount that their body will be in ketosis...not true. The amount of carbs are based off the total amount of calories that have been ate that day as well as maintaining 80% fat and 15% protein.
Following his <20g a day would put him at <5% carbs of a 2000 calorie diet.
Now, is he eating that many calories? Is he eating 75g of protein? Is he eating 180g of fat?
Just keeping low carb does not mean you’re in ketosis.
