Putting the Orgeron hire in perspective

Back in 2016, who on this board would have thought the notion of firing CLM to replace him with the DL coach was a good plan? How can anyone who is a real supporter of the school and the football program say that that was what they thought was the best way to replace Miles?
No one? As I thought. This leads one to question just how such decisions are made at LSU. The only answer is by the seat of the pants. That leads us to the current state of LSU football, which is now, at best, a middling program with talent which surpasses its ability to win games. LSU has lots of players in the NFL, but cannot win big games to make itself relevant in the CFB picture. Recruits start to see this and choose to go to Gumpland or Georgia or Houston or wherever the frick, but LSU. They can see what is happening at LSU football even without the Rant.
Winning 8 games this year will be a good thing as the situation sits now. A 7 win regular season is not out of the question at all. Let's see how that affects recruiting along with another loss to a no name team in the Zero Bowl from East Fumbuck USA. Edward Orgeron will never lead LSU to the promised land. Not ever. Say what you will you fanatics and Tiger Ree wannabees, but it is the truth. Time to clean house and begin with a vision of winning.

A 10 win season isn’t out of the realm of possibility either.
We dropped a hard fought SEC game against a big time rival.
It sucks but it’s not the end of the world. Relax.

Can you give us the super bowl and world series winners since you can see the future?

While I don't disagree with the main points of your post, LSU was just ranked #5 and beat two top 10 teams. Maybe let the season play out before this thread will be valid.

It doesn't take a psychic to see that Orgeron was a bad hire at that time. Anyone with a brain could see that.

No, I agree with that 100%. It was the 8 and 7 win comments I was talking about. I thought you were saying that was the best they could do. Sorry if I misread.

That number 5 ranking was not legit and those “top 10” wins are not top 10 now. Auburn has been completely exposed and Miami is nowhere close to being the number 8 team like they were ranked when we played them.

Look I get it, but that ranking was absolutely legit given LSU's position going into the Florida game. Were they the 5th best team in the nation, maybe not, but that ranking was 100% deserved and earned.
Saying Auburn and Miami aren't legit is just as subjective at this point as saying LSU didn't deserve to be ranked 5th, or saying LSU will only win 6-7 games, or saying LSU will win the rest of its games.
My point is, wait till the end of the season to look at it as a whole. Right now it's either just hatred, or blind love for Orgeron steering the discussion from two different groups.

How many rankings are actually accurate after week 5 anyways? Maybe Bama? I agree that we just have to let it play out to see what's what and stop overreacting to every game as if it proves anything one way or the other.

Thank you for your original assessment of the situation with our LSU football team, as well as your prescription for future success. Nobody on the Rant has ever even thought with such clear and piercing brilliance as you. You are truly a genius my friend, and you are providing a valuable service to all involved...as well as inspiring potential recruits who read this board. I'm sure the powers at LSU will consider upcoming decisions with your input in the forefront of their minds.
Just kidding. Your are actually pathetic, and your constant bashing will not make a bit of difference. Give it a rest.

You say that as if you’re not part of one of those groups.
Your post history and the countless daily posts you’ve made about this says it all.

Alright then buddy. Show me a post where I said Orgeron should be fired.
Don't cry like a little bitch when I call you out, when you follow me from thread to thread begging for it.
There was a decent discussion going on here. Don't come here and tard this thread up to.

I will believe it when I see it.

I can see that EO will never win a championship of any sort as the HC at LSU. If you cannot then you have not been paying attention. If he happens to prove me wrong, so be it and I will not trouble this dysfunctional board again.
Fair enough?

I wanted to put it up now so the morons who think CEO is the answer cannot say I only say it after the season implodes. So I am on record. I do not like saying it, but I can see it no other way. Look at his 'pedigree' if you will. Who on God's green earth, at the beginning of 2016 woke from a restful slumber and uttered, "I have got it! We will fire Miles and name Eddie Orgeron the HC!" Only a fool would consider that a good plan for the future of LSU football.
