We missed both of these guys yesterday. I can’t recall any other major injuries yesterday...(correct me if I’m wrong). Phillips was missed against the run IMO and Brumfield was a beast prior to his injury. His leadership has been missed.
We should be as healthy as we have been all year next week (except for KC)

I don't think Charles was 100% either. Or else he is not as talented as the guy he was playing against because he was beaten all day.

Hopefully he gets well and back in game condition by Saturday and solves the blind side problem.

Wishful thinking on Brumfield . It said 2-3 weeks but I’m pretty sure he’s going to be out 2 more weeks

I suspect UF knew more about his injury than we did.

I don't think it is a coincidence that we went into that game with a plan to always have help for Deculus and they attacked Charles with blitzers, straight speed. And gave zero fricks about any counters (which we didn't do anyway).

Maybe it was scouting, and they thought he had leg injury and then confirmed it on the field, and thus kept doing it.

Or maybe they saw a hitch in his giddy up in warm ups.

I just thought it was funny they chose, very early, to attack the edge on his side and didn't attack the middle until the 4th qtr or hardly Deculus at all.

I'll note that if he got into the rusher, he handled it easily. It's when he was engaging away or off shoulder they got the best of him. I noted in another thread how he rode one rusher all the way around the formation and was basically behind Deculus. That's very hard to do, move with a rusher that far/long without them getting around you.

ETA: ^ shoulder injury?? Feet moved well, couldn't handle body-2-body space? His performance actually suggests an upper body injury.

Yea, he'll have a huge influence on offensive playcalling.

Maybe they realized the talent level on the left was questionable, so they made that weakness work to their benefit.

Maybe they saw that the right side was playing with more heart and giving 100%.
