it is simple math

Saints could have traded out of 27 this year for a future 1st and an additional pick(s)

Saints could have traded 2018 future 1st as well + Mark Ingram for 3 1sts(who doesn't want a 29 year old expiring contract RB)

Saints could have avoided drafting for years with those bonus picks and just kept sliding back and acquiring more picks

Instead of having all those picks while living in rebuild mode...we have to settle for a guy that is raw and outperforming most other starters in the league while trying to win with a championship roster.

I don't want a championship caliber roster...I want to build a team that one day might be able to compete to be a championship caliber roster
