I'd like to remind some folks of their 14-0 National Championship season in 2002. The "Luckeyes" that year beat a 7-7 Cincinnati team by 4, beat a Wisconsin team by 5 that only won 2 Big 10 games, beat Penn State by 6, beat a 7-6 Purdue team by 4, and needed overtime to beat a 5-7 Illinois team. They then beat rival Michigan 14-9 and won the Fiesta Bowl against #1 Miami 31-24 in 2 overtimes.

Sure, I would love for LSU to be overly impressive in some games and have a wider margin in victory over teams like LA Tech and Southeastern. And maybe the Tigers don't blow out Ole Miss Saturday night and win a "closer than the experts think" game. The bottom line is, finding a way each week to get the W is truly what matters.

This season has been tons of fun already and I hope Death Valley is rocking late Saturday night against the Rebs and this amazing upcoming home schedule.

Wouldn't it be unreal to get in the playoffs this year and Burrow leads the Tigers out against his former Buckeyes? Let's Geaux Baby!!Enjoy cheering for the Tigers and enjoy this life we were given. Forever LSU

I like the thought behind this, but you just named a team that scraped by playing bad competition, we on the other hand have a brutal schedule ahead of us. We don't have the honor of playing 7-7 Cincinnati or 5-7 Illinois

Agree with you 1000% on the toughest schedule in the country. Anything can happen though and we are at home for a good bit of it now. No turnovers against Miami or Auburn. We will need the same against UGA and Bama. Tua has looked unbelievable thus far, but I know he’s due for at least 1 bad game. Greedy Williams would love to pick him off.

Tigers have me dreaming....

Miles was fired for scraping by and getting Ws with 3-4 regular season losses every year. Hell, one year he didn’t lose a regular season game and won a MNC another...

BTW - I was vocal about firing him as it was time to go.

A refreshing post. Please post more.

I'm not blind that this team has issues, but at this point in the season, we have everything ahead of us. I'm hopeful that this could be a special year, and that doesn't always mean winning every piece of hardware along the way.

Much like life, this season will have ups and downs. If our down times are beating Southeastern 31-0 and LA Tech by two touchdowns, I'll take it.

Geaux Tigers. Beat the Rebels. LSU 38 OM 20

This time of year is the best. So much room for disillusionment!

We will have to be lucky to beat Alabama. Having said that even the Anthony Jennings led Tigers had Bama beat until the last possession. We have had Bama in games down to the last possession in Baton Rouge several times in the last ten years. Three I believe is the number. Two,times third and Chavis lost those games for,us. Even the last time in BTR when Hurts had a couple of runs it took the zebras to swallow their flags on Multiple holding penalty no calls for them to,beat LSU

The point the guy is making is defense and special teams can win a lot of games. And the Miami team that Ohio StAte beat in the Championship game had won 24 or 25 in a row.

SLU not very good agreed. It was a trap game between Miami and Auburn. La Tech is going to win a lot of,games. We had just come off a huge game at Auburn
