Could Flake and GOP be playing 4D chess?

This situation stinks of conspiracy and corruption. The envelope that Sheila Jackson Lee tried to stealthily slip to Ford's attorney. Ford's prior political activism and participation in the pink pussy hat rallies, then subsequent scrubbing of all her social media. Feinstein sitting on the allegations for weeks while the committee had already begun taking up the confirmation hearing process.
Any chance the Republicans have some incriminating evidence on something shady going on behind closed doors and Flake agreeing to the FBI investigation is just a cover to let the FBI be the ones to blow the lid off it so Dems and media won't be able to deny it as GOP playing dirty politics?

Wouldn't a thorough FBI investigation require her social media be recovered?
There might be a good chance she's got some SUPER NASTY shite posted that would undermine her entire credibility.

I'd like to see the FBI investigate Ford's Social Media (which was scrubbed, pre-Letter), and any possible collusion with Dem Party Resist/Activists, to slander Kavanagh's reputation and blow up the Confirmation.

No. She doesn't have to comply with an FBI investigation if she doesn't want to. They can't subpoena anything.

I don’t think it was intentional but everyone the FBI talks to should be very careful since lying to the FBI is illegal. If Kav, Rose, DiFi, Avenatti, etc lie and the FBI can prove it, charges should be brought. Remember they are able to get into a lot more records than the lawyers for the Judiciary Committee.
Remember too, Sessions recused himself only from the Russia investigation. He would provide oversight on this and would be the one deciding if any perjury charges are brought. He may get a chance to, as Harry Dunn would say, totally redeem himself.
