LSU - Beat Georgia, Lose to Bama
UGA - Lose to LSU, beat Bama in SECCG
Bama - Lose to UGA in SECCG

All 1 loss teams
I’d imagine We would have the best SOS, Bama probably highest margin of victory, UGA SEC Champs.

Who gets in the playoffs?

I think 2 SEC teams would get in. UGA easy because they won the SECCG but would we get in over Bama w that resume or would they put them in because they beat us and, well, Bama.

I'm no Bama conspiracy theorist, but Bama would get in over LSU...with UGA getting in via the SEC championship

Our schedule is harder, but those committee members know they are one of the top 4 teams in the nation, schedule be damned

And that's hard to argue against. they've earned that respect

My post assumes this as an obvious.

good one. I’m just asking hypothetically. Not, like, booking flights & hotel rooms.

More like lsu beat bama, lose to uga in regular season, beat uga in seccg

At least we would be in the playoff

That's the safest way for lsu to get in(besides going undefeated)

Any way the SEC gets 3?

Ohio St - 10-2
Clemson - 11-1 (loss to idk, UNC or Louisville or someone not nearly as good as Bama)
Oklahoma - 11-1 (Same deal as Clemson. Loss to Texas or OkSt.)

It depends how much the committee cares about strength of schedule this year.

LSU and UGA.

Alabama's schedule this year is a joke. They are currently set to play 3 ranked teams all season, only one of which being a top five team--5 LSU. And if Auburn botches another game, they may not even be a top 10 opponent when they play Alabama at the end of the year.

Also, 23 Miss. St. can fall from the rankings by the time they play Alabama on 11/10, leaving Alabama with 2 ranked opponents on the year. 3 if they go to the SECCG to face UGA.

4 ranked opponent wins > 3 (or 2) ranked opponent wins. Simple as that.

But LSU defeats Alabama this year, so nothing to worry about.

Easy, uga bc they would win the conf.

Then bama, bc even though we blow them away with strength of sch, it’s bama and they will always get the mulligan game.

Considering the OL issues and lack of depth and experience in several positions, if this team ends up 9-3 it is a good accomplishment.

We've played 4 games. The toughest part of our schedule is coming up.
Let's talk about the playoffs...

To be perfectly fair this team is LEGITIMATELY 1 position away from being a playoff team. Our QB is making the throws he needs to, it's up to our receivers to do their job. Hell we are 4-0 with 31 points per game while dropping 3-5 critical balls per game, and throwing away 5 or more times a game to to no open receivers. We fix that, and this is a 40pt per game team allowing only 10-15pts per game. If that isn't playoff quality idk what is. Also the oline needs to stay healthy.
