I regular 5,000 mike service for a Harley-Davidson at a HD Dealer will cost you over $300. A 10,000 mile service isn’t far from $500.

Everyone should shop around for a quality, independent mechanic and build a relationship with that guy. Then, you won't have to bitch about things like this.
This is like complaining about $4 cokes at the cinema. Don't buy it. No one is making you.

They can't teach BMW drivers how to use a fricking turn signal. You think changing a filter is within the realm of their abilities?!
FACT!

Is BMW part of a conglomerate?
For example, is BMW owned by a different company in the way Audi is owned by VW?

This is far from a universal truth. Certainly not "easily."

For sure plugs in all vehicles are 90 to 100K miles
Not anymore. Some engines recommend 25k-30k and I am sure some might be less

Did they tell you that you needed spark plugs and air filter?
40k miles.
Either way, on a non luxury vehicle this should be... at the most, I would say a $600 job. But dealer service departments bend you over the counter.
A friend of mine had to get a back bumper for his Yukon several years ago. It was going to cost him $1400 at the dealership so he was looking around online and was talking to a coworker whose husband worked for a GMC dealership. She asked if he could order one for it that would be cheaper. He said he would order it and sell it to him at cost.. It cost him $200..So markups at dealerships are ridiculous.

Junkyard bumpers for a '18 tahoe right now are $500 and up, with most at $750. That's no sensors, etc...

Any idea what the service costs are for high end Japanese vehicles?

I’ve had two personal F-150s and one for work, between the 3 of them I’ve orobably put on about 500k miles.
Which speaks to the reliablity of an F150 lol.
I love my F250s, but they are quite a bit more expensive to maintain than the same vintage of Silverado, for example.
Point is, as someone else pointed out earlier, tuen ups aren't as simple as they used to be. On the flip side, you really are wasting your time in most cases if you tune a vehicle up more often than every 100K miles.
I have a 2007 Ford F250 with the V10 in it, my farm hand drives it every day now, it has around 350K miles on, it's had 3 sets of plugs in it and still runs great. Probably due for another set soon though.
30 years ago, it was almost unheard of for a vehicle to get that kinda mileage on it, now pretty common.

I don’t want to say the name of the dealer but they sell BMW/Porsche/Audi in BR so you’ll just have to guess which dealership.
Well there is only one Brian Harris

Someone I know used a loaner for one day, maybe 15 miles total, and when she brought it back they discovered a small chip in the windshield. Charged her $420 for a new windshield.
Not to mention they tried to upsell her with a'fuel injector flush', among other things. Most dealership service departments are garbage and prey on those who don't know much about cars.

Love when people buy expensive cars then complain about paying to maintain them

Fuel injection cleaning is actually a real thing , and perhaps it is you who doesn't know what they are talking about.
Now, whether that is necessary on a particular vehicle or not, who can say, but it is a real thing.
