Fortnite issues.... looking for help

I have a new card and I crash 70% of the time. It's an evga 1070 FTW2 icx.
anybody having any issues with this card?
Windows 10 pro 64
Asus Strix 350B
Ryzen 7
Gtx1070 FTW2
32gb 3200 ram.
Just playing and crash. walking, getting shot in the face... shotting people in the arse...
Just crash.
Turning on vsync seems to allow better play, but.. not by much.
anybody having any issues with this card?

Can't speak to issues but make sure it's not a driver problem

All drivers are up to date. Even rolled back...
The only way I can play is vsync….
That raises my MS is screen response and lowers my frame rate to 60 vs 300.

Between 45c and 55c

whats your CPU and GPU usage during play?
XOC I believe has graphs. You can also look at the task manager and go to the performance tab

1. W10 version or OS build No? (1803 is a nightmare)
2. Display driver version No?
3. Motherboard BIOS version No?
4. Any Error messages in System Event Log? (Event Viewer -> Windows Logs -> System)
Latest Windows build from Microsoft pushed a microcode update with the latest build on both Intel and AMD platforms. All sorts of issues.
Any other programs experience random crashing or hangups?
The first thing to always test is the PSU. If you don't have a multi-meter then you have other options with software. HWMonitor doesn't report accurate voltages but can help identify possible weak +3.3V, +5V and +12V outputs.

4. Any Error messages in System Event Log? (Event Viewer -> Windows Logs -> System)

Limit frames to 59 instead.

why would that be a solution to his problem? He is having trouble getting back up to 300. The Vsync was helping him just to play the game.

The OP's OG issue are random crashes, correct? I addressed that earlier.
The OP then stated that VSYNC improved stability in game but complained about the response time/input lag.
Setting a FPS Limit doesn't come with the additional overhead of VSYNC. The OP can limit his frames to the range VSYNC improved stability without the increased input lag until a solution is found.
What is the issue with my statement?
