To me it just emphasizes the accuser is lying about the incident and she’s lawyering up to help stop her from committing provable perjury. Or, to allow a lawyer to give some legal-eagle excuse why she will refuse to testify at the last minute.
It’s a sign of desperation not strength.

This man didn’t resign from his law firm for last resort desperation move. He resigned for a long-term gig wreaking havoc against duly elected officials.
