LA Tech's rank is on top and LSU's on the bottom. Not pessimistic whatsoever because we're gonna get the W. I just thought it was some wacky stats of the day how two teams with such a big talent gap could be this far apart when it comes to statistics.

Tech is all offense all the time, and they have a developing coach who will soon make it onto a big-time program.

Make no mistake about it, Tech is a solid ball club, but who have they played?!?

Had LA Tech played LSU's schedule, do you think their numbers would be the same?

Think a little man.

Tech has played TWO games. LSU has only played 3, but 2 against Top 10.

Show me these stats later in the season when we play Rice, and they MIGHT mean something then.

I know LSU has played a tougher schedule, but still crazy how far ahead Tech is statistically when LSU has played one more game than them.

I'm a Tech graduate but look at who they play vs LSU's schedule before you do any comparison. LSU should win easily on defense alone but Tech can score just not nearly enough to outweigh the talent gap. It'll be fun for a quarter, maybe but by late 2nd quarter LSU is turning on the jets and by 4th quarter clearing the bench. Coach O will not run it up on an instate school. LSU 34 Tech 13.

Louisiana Tech’s punter averages something like 20 yards a punt - that will be the glaring issue Saturday night.

Those stats are cute. LSU is going to kick their arse soundly.

Has anyone made the point that often times the LSU offense was on a shorter field? Miami’s punter was so terrible we didn’t need to put together 80 yard drives. Jacoby Stevens returns a ball 70 yards so offense only needs to get 30 yards, etc. That’s one things that is skewing numbers against LSU.

INB4 we need to clean up dropped passes and 3rd down conversions.

Because they haven't played Miami or Auburn.

Comparing stats without considering the qualitt of the competion is pointless and stupid.
