FM: "was money in the 4th."
I obviously don't know LSU history like the regular posters here, but I suspect that, considering the gravity of the situation and the difficulty of the throw, that Burrow's pass to Dillon may be one of the top 10 passes in LSU history.

Idk about that we've had some huge passes in some big games before but it's probably in the top 25 or so but still, only being here for 3 months, that's amazing.
Like the previous poster said, when it counts he's accurate and comes through so that's really all that matters at this point. He could play like that the rest of the season and we would likely go 10-2. If he picks his game up some (which I suspect will happen) we could be looking at a special season in his first year.
I honestly don't think he's ready for the NFL yet so I think he knows that and will be back for a second year no matter his success this year. IMO the coaches need to put more trust into Burrow and this offense and let it fly. They are slowly gaining confidence. They still need tons of work to be on the level that would make us a dominant team. Our defense and STs is some of the best in the country and that alone will win you lots of games. When you couple that with an elevating offense, we could be very dangerous team by seasons end.
I like where this is going and he could start a trend here at LSU which we've been needing for a very long time. Teach our current QBs what a real leader is at that position. We've been needing someone like him since Matt Flynne. Things kinda fell apart after him bc of the suspension of Perrilloux. We've had young QBs teaching other young QBs how to lead or just had bad examples. He's perfect for that role and we have some great QBs behind him to carry in on.
He's going to have a great OL by seasons end and next year as well as great RBs and WRs to help him out. The defense is only getting stronger as the years pass and that isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Our STs is now improving so we should have a complete team in 2019. They'll be confident with high expectations and a schedule that isn't so hard to navigate. Things are looking good for Burrow. Nice get Orgeron and I'm glad y'all were stacked at that position!! GT

LSU has played football for 125 years. So I’m going to have to definitely disagree with that being a Top 10 pass in LSU history.
Appreciate the efforts though.
Some of the Top 10 should include:
-Mauck to Green (2003)
-Flynn to Byrd (2007)
-Hodson to Fuller (1988)
-Rohan to Reed (over and over and over again) (2001)
-Bluegrass Miracle - Randall to Devery (2002)
-Rohan to Royal (2000) - just one of my faves
And obviously I’m slanting towards the Golden Years of LSU football. I’ve not even considered Jamarcus (to Bowe, Buster, or Doucet), Mett (to Juice and OBJ), Herb Tyler (vs #1 Gators in 1997), or much less included Y.A. Tittle, Rabb (1958 Champs), Bert Jones, more of Hodson (to Wendell), or 50’s, 60’s and earlier.

I was gonna say pump the brakes but if we make it to the playoff this year than you may be correct.
Watching Jefferson, Anthony Jennings, and Brandon Harris has been rough. Jefferson was much better than than the latter but seeing competent QB play is so damn refreshing.
