Holyfield got 8 carries

UGA can't magically create more snaps. No one who is watching the games would accuse UGA of not running the ball enough, but at some point you have more good players (not just RBs) than you have snaps available to use them all heavily. That becomes more pronounced when you are playing inferior competition because you have a ton of explosive plays, TD drives in 5 plays or less, and a lopsided game by the 3rd quarter.

Man, I don't know the kid, and I certainly can't speak for him or his father. But, my assumption is that Emery wants the ball. He doesn't want 300 carries obviously. But, he probably wants 15-20 per game, on average...and the possibility of more in a big game where he's needed.

He's not going to get 15-20 in a lopsided game anywhere. That would be stupid.

It should seem crazy to any logical person that Michel, or Chubb for that matter, although his injury was gruesome, needed to play in their senior year. A kid who is featured and leaves as a junior is better off than a kid who splits so much time that he's in school for an additional year to justify a high draft selection.

The benefit of them coming back from a showcase perspective was the UGA got its OL sorted out. That was a disaster in 2015 and especially 2016, making it really hard for a RB to stand out. That is no longer an issue.

on average. Don't twist my words to try and make a point. That's weak.

You inadvertantly admitted to everything.

Honestly, that's much better than openly lying about the situation. Recruits and parents aren't stupid. When they see obvious lies trying to explain things, that's going to make them question.

You'd be better off saying that Georgia is going to get the best RBs and play the best. The others are going to be left behind and that's best for the program. Pretending kids are playing more than they are...or that it's a good thing that they aren't playing...or that they don't want to play...or (worst of all), they have a chronic groin injury that prevents them from playing more but not bad enough to sit and heal are really, really bad arguments.

In the end it won't matter. Neither Emery, nor Emery's dad are going to read this and change their mind. This is a fan board. I just don't see the value in coming here and being dishonest about the depth chart issue. Next year is going to be even worse with Emery and White. It's going to make an already overcrowded situation more crowded.
