I’ve now convinced both of them that no matter how moderate or bipartisan he claims to be, will vote in lockstep with Chuck Schumer 100% of the time if elected. Showed them the results of the tax cut vote in the senate the first time around and pointed them to Gorsuch’s nomination and what’s going on with Kavanaugh. They finally believe me and both say they’re now voting for Marsha. I’m sure there are other aspects, but I’m taking credit here.
If Doug Jones votes for Kavanaugh, Bredesen can use that.

Bredesen is a popular governor, but I don't see much traction for his campaign in SE Tennessee. Blackburn and co. have done a good job painting him as a high tax guy, against the tax cuts, and a rubber-stamp Dem.
He doesn't appeal to typical Democrat voters, eg your inner city minorities, because that counters his attempt to paint himself a moderate. I mean, he'll get the Signal Mountain liberals who literally live above their inferiors, but he's not going to get much of the working class and suburban vote here.
Nashville and Memphis may be a very different story, though.
