What? No.
Kids at a certain age ENJOY being scared. I think in that tween stage.
My kids are constantly begging to be told scary stories. There’s an excitement in being scared.
Fear is a useful tool. I think scaring kids to teach a lesson can be effective. Or scaring them in good fun.
Now truly terrifying them for the gratification of others online? Kind of screwed up.

There's a difference between being scared and being traumatized. Some of these kids sob uncontrollably at these "pranks". The only person enjoying it is the parent.
