She alleged soon after her husband was fired and it became clear Andrew wished to leave, Vandebilt offered Drew a job as a volunteer coach and Andrew could remain at the school tuition free, which would be in violation of LHSAA rules and that "we wanted no part of that."
Does anyone know why his dad was fired?

That offer being made after the Dad was fired, is surely an inducement to stay, which is also against the rules.
Why would the school fire the dad, then later on offer him a volunteer coaching assignment?
The problem is the line between "legal" aid and "unallowed" aid is insanely thin and gray.
