I just got a Kyser.I've used it on a couple of songs and it changes the tone of course. It feels weird. Not as much room for my Left hand.
Do y'all use them on certain songs?

If you want to play along with songs that use them, you almost have to. And if you don't, you'll have to barre a lot with your index finger.
I got a G7th early on and have been happy with it. I do get that it changes the feel - it's not just "moving" the nut - it changes the angle of the strings, effectively shortens the scale, etc. I would say pick a song you like that uses a capo. Get a lot of reps with that song and it may change the way you feel about it.

I have to use one for almost every song at church, and have huge hands. Try putting the capo on the fretboard at an angle, where it has just enough pressure to fret the high E-string, huge difference.

Also, don't let it overhang the bottom of the fretboard. My Kyser has plenty of grip to fret the high e by just barely catching the string.

I use a capo all the time. You'll get used to it.

We call em cheaters
I use one on damn near every song when playing acoustic shows, and they're also very useful in open tunings

I have a couple of capos, and have never used one.
For myself..the only purpose is maybe layering on some recording? I think about it, but still haven't gone there yet.
