Speeds aren't my favorite shoe but I have 310 miles on current pair and I can probably get another 100. Tread has held up surprisingly well. I think they did "stretch" out a little. I wouldn't have bought another pair at anything over $120. At $90 they are a steal!
other shoe updates:
Sketchers Go Run Razor Excess - have 115 miles on them. Feel the same as when they were new, firm ride and good response and road feel. Tread is showing a little wear but that's not unusual for any of my shoes. Still not sure the true purpose of this shoe. I like it for up-tempo run in the 8-10 mile range. Probably still feel good in them up to 15. will try to get 15-20 mile run in them.
Adidas Terrex Speed Ultra: if you like Adidas Boston (up to the new version) and you need a trail shoe this is it. Feels almost the same. Had two 5-milers in them and then went 50k (technically 28.x because I missed a marker and went off course) and had no issues. Couple of water crossings and short rocky sections, no slippage. Couple muddy spots got slippery but probably would have been in most shoes. they transition to pavement with ease. So far so good. Think they are probably good for a race up to 50 miles but beyond that they may be a little too firm and make your feet tired.

Yep, I hope I’m not let down. Have a July 4 road race I’ll probably break them out at. Looking for these to replace hoka rincons in my rotation for faster days. They just wear down too fast.

Yeah. I said f it and grabbed some Endorphin Speeds for $90. Let’s see if the hype is real.
I already have the speeds and am tempted to get another pair on clearance from fleet feet since I have a $15 gift certificate to use.
