just bought a pair of the much-hyped NB FuelCell Rebels. Hoping they can be my marathon shoe in October. I'll report back after I get a chance to break 'em in

Update:
I bought this shoe after I had heard it was a lightweight shoe that could handle an everyday workload. After breaking it in, this is not a marathon shoe for me. Overall, a nice tempo and possible speed work shoe. But it lacks the cushion and stability I'd want in a shoe for that distance. May work in a marathon for a lighter runner with better form than me.

The knit upper is very comfortable. Not always a fan of a knit upper, but this is probably the best I've worn. The FuelCell midsole gives a little cushion and has a fair amount of pop. The shoe is super light - like 8 ounces in a size 14 light! It is rare for a shoe in my size (outside of like a flat) to come in under 10 ounces.

Overall, a good shoe to have in a rotation. Not sure I'd recommend paying full price for it though, like I did I'd probably say wait until you can get a good deal if you're interested.
