Betting line moving down a little

Opened at 10. Moved up on a couple sites to 10 1/2.
Now at 10 on most, and 9 1/2 on one site. Wouldn't be surprised to see it move lower. - #153

Has nothing to do with how the experts expect the game to go. Strictly moves according to the money flow so that it gets evened out, or is close to even. That way Vegas never takes a loss cause they always collect the juice. The "amateurs" are quite often determining the movement of the line.

It moved. lol Reversed
It moved on some sites up to 10 1/2, then down back down to 10, and 9 1/2 on some sites.

Gosh damn it
This is not true at all. Moving the line doesn’t guarantee they will get money on the other side. Sure, they want some, but they can’t force anyone to make a bet. Stop repeating the myth that books only want to collect the juice. It’s ignorant and not based in reality. Ask yourself the likelihood that with thousands of people betting each side of a game at various amounts that both sides end up with the exact same amount of cash bet on each team.
Furthermore, the “amateurs” are not determining a line. They can to a small degree but no where near the extent people think. Not all money bet is created equally. If there is 20k on one side of a game, all from regular joes, and one really sharp guy a book is familiar with comes in and bets 5k, they will shade the line according to him. Not the 20k side. If a game is split 100k/25k and someone from Blue Horseshoe (a betting syndicate) walks in and bets 2k on the smaller side, the line moving is moving opposite of that bet
