Guys like him are a dying breed. A whole fan base realizes the end of this era. It’s a sad day, but a capper to an extraordinary career.

Many stars today will hang it up, and not have entire cities feeling sad. Too many times a star switches teams, chases a ring elsewhere, morphs into the norm of a millionaire athlete. Timmy. Manu. Those guys didn’t do that.

Sad day for me. My favorite of the big 3.

Down 1, 2 or 3 it didn’t matter. At the end of the game, give Manu the ball. I will ride or die with Manu any night of the week.

It was crazy listening to sports talk radio on the way home yesterday, people were choking up calling into the shows

Never thought I'd see a city love an athlete more than we all loved (still love) The Admiral. But even David Robinson himself donned Manu's jersey regularly and with pride. Ginobili is the most beloved Spur ever, bar none.
