Blew a fuse plug and brake assembly coming over the 32r bridge at ORD years ago, took out two car windshields
pretty sure I was the reason behind the “ do not stop on bridge “ signs ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

You probably shouldn't be landing on the road.

Ugliest landing I have seen first-hand was a KC-135 during Gulf Storm landing at Jeddah.
Pilot radioed in he had hit an “air pocket “and in the ensuing uncontrolled dive had literally ripped both engines off of the port wing.
Plane came in crabbing like a SOB and blew out nearly every single tire on landing (Which was perfectly understandable).
Plane was towed into a hanger and was there for years according to my in-country sources.
Just did some research and tge incident as written up was not the version we were told right after it happened. Don’t know the true story but the aircrew all got medals for getting the bird back on the ground.
I’ll just say that no matter what occured in flight to cause it, it was great airmanship to get that bird and crew down safe...
