Weakness: QB Protection
Miami ranked 79th in the nation in pass protection, allowing 29 sacks throughout the season.

The struggles of the o-line was extremely apparent in the last three games of the 2017 season. In those losses to Pitt, Clemson and Wisconsin, Rosier was sacked 11 times, nearly half of the season total.

After taking a shellacking in the spring game, the Canes offensive line remains to be a concern.

Weaknesses: Streaky Quarterback Play
In those last three games, Rosier’s completion percentage fell to 44.9, and capped off the year completing 54% of his passes.

He’s show signs of greatness, like the game-winning drive against FSU, or his 344-yard performance against Syracuse. Its the three interceptions he threw against Wisconsin, and the open receivers he missed against Pitt thats standing in the way of Miami getting over the hump.

If Pitt and Wisconsin were hammering their O-line, our boys are going to have a field day.

Didn’t Rosier have like 31 TDs last year? He’s very streaky. I watched him in limited action and he wasn’t nearly the liability many on this board are portraying him to be.

Clemson's d-line are no joke. They have some horses upfront too.

Best way to counter a poor line? Spurrier them to death with 10 yard slants/out routes with an offense and super accuatate shotgun QB tailored to execute that. Which we have.

He became a liability once he started playing defenses with a pulse

That’s actually a great comp. Big, Athletic, mobile kid that struggles with his accuracy. Still a serviceable QB and can punch you in the mouth if you don’t take him seriously.

They may call it streaky, I call it when Rosier faced the best pass defenses, he played like crap pretty much last year.

I dont think it's by accident the 3 best pass defenses Miami faced last year: Wisconsin, Clemson, FSU...were also his 3 worst games from a passer rating standpoint. All 3 of those pass defenses were Top 10 in the country in pass rating defense. We were also in the Top 10 last year...

I meant to type Pitt and Wisconsin. Yeah, I know Clemson's D was damn good.

Except you don't know this for a fact. Burrow hasn't played one down of meaningful college football in his life yet. Even if he is great he still needs protection from the OL. Good coaches find a way to make a weak OL serviceable though so let's hope the coaches know what they are doing.

He sucked against good defenses. He just did. You can't spin that any other way

Spin? I said he had 31 TDs last year and check your facts he had good games against FSU, North Carolina and Ga Tech.

He struggled late but I wouldn’t sleep on him.

I bet your he same type of guy that was talking about how much we were gonna best Wisconsin by in 16 or Tory in 17.

Stop counting your chickens.
