Don’t have this kind of shite happening in black dolphin

I'm actually surprised that made the news. I figured it would be a regular occurrence.

I know right, murders not getting along, go figure

There are no winners in this situation. One man hurt bad and another ruins his life with an assault charge.

Probably just a gentleman's disagreement on whether or not they should participate in the prisoner's rights protest.

If they are already in Angola, chances are their life was already wrecked beyond belief.

Is this suppose to be surprising? Lol people kill other people in there simply by who gets the top bunk bed

Nah. Plenty of people do time there and get on with their life.

Burl Cain may have been corrupt, but he turned Angola from a gladiator pit into a fairly safe prison. Sounds like the new regime is letting things slip.

It is. When I was in residency, we took care of the Texas Dept of Corrections.
Seemed like every other Monday morning they brought us a 2-for-1 special: one guy with a boxer's fracture and one guy with a mandible fracture.
Once it got dicey when 2 guys tried to go for round 2 in our clinic. The "correctional officers" were pretty useless. Me, one of my buddies--another resident--and actually 4 or 5 other inmates were between them trying to keep them apart and deescalate things.
In the heat of the moment, I didn't have any time to consider the gravity of the situation. But after things calmed down and I started thinking about circumstances, it kinda fricked me up for a while realizing how vulnerable we residents were in those clinics. Usually had 30-40 prisoners, 2-3 residents, and 2-3 guards, again, who were fricking useless.
TL/DR: prisoners fight a lot. Relieved I didn't get shanked.
