Alphaandomega is correct.
This is not a financial issue for any of us changing our own oil.
When I change mine, I can see the consistency of oil, check it for contaminants, determine if my car is using oil, check tire pressures, rotate tires, (both make it safer and extend the life of the tires), grease any rattles, and not to mention the money you save doing it yourself but allows you to buy better quality products for your car because you are spending on labor costs.
Do you think cheap oil change places use the highest quality materials? Nope.
