Not really if you know what you're doing. If you win, the crowds will come and there is tons of talent to recruit from in Louisiana alone. With football not lighting it on fire, it could be the perfect time to get tons of attention on the program and get the fans engaged.
Dale Brown still has three of the top 5 biggest crowds ever for regular season games in the NCAA. They were the biggest ever for any basketball games pro or college back in the day.
