My wife's dad lived in Mansura until his death 7 years ago. His property was located very close to Spring Bayou.

If you drove up La.1 heading to Marksville you'd take a rt. on Cocoville Rd. then a right on Old River Rd. and follow that down to Lestan Normand Rd. where the old man's property sits. That road was named for his dad who died in the early 90's at 101 years of age.

The family still has the property that is comprised of 2 tracts, one 6.75 acres and the other being 10 acres. It's just sitting idle for years now, but no plans to sell it off are in the works.

I really want a camp there, but there's nothing for my wife and kid to do there.
