Just watching a storm come through, doing the math, and knowing that in 2 weeks your town will be flooded from it has to be incredibly depressing.

Aren't many flood situations with that sort of lag. Katrina had people know they were flooded for weeks, but the lead time was days. Harvey, a day or two at best for Houston and out quickly. SC floods a couple of years ago, quick.

Only thing I can think of, knowing a flood was two weeks away, are big floods coming down the lower Mississippi.

My heart goes out to those folks, because the head and heartache just begins once the water drops.

ETA: New area of concern from NHC. Early model guidance brushes a weak system along the NC coast. Not expected to be very organized at least.
